Christo

Christo Vladimirov Javacheff (1935–2020) was a groundbreaking artist from Bulgaria, best known for his monumental environmental art and interventions in public space. His work combined vision, technique, and precision, challenging viewers to experience familiar places in a new way.

Together with his partner Jeanne-Claude, he wrapped buildings, bridges, and landscapes in fabric, creating temporary and striking works of art. Through these temporary interventions, he changed the way people experience space, scale, and perspective.
