Manuela Papeians

Manuela Papeians (b. 1964) is a Belgian sculptor whose work focuses primarily on bronze sculptures that explore emotion, movement, and the joy of living. After studying architecture at the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels, she spent more than a decade abroad, living in the United States, Colombia, and France. Upon returning to Belgium, she worked as an architect on socially oriented projects before dedicating herself fully to her artistic practice.

Since 2010, Papeians has developed her sculptures from clay models that are subsequently cast in bronze. Her work is characterized by flowing lines, dynamic forms, and a strong emotional presence.

Through her sculptural language, she explores the beauty of human emotions and relationships. Balancing between figuration and abstraction, her works evoke moments of joy, freedom, contemplation, and movement. Driven by a desire to reveal beauty and positivity, she creates a universe that is at once powerful, poetic, and generous.
